Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey began when she was 14 years old. In addition to BJJ training, she also trained in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. In the age of 18, she made her first appearance as an amateur in WCFC. Ladd took advantage of this win and began a 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round in each fight. After that, she went back to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen was first beaten by Silvia Babyghian before going on to fight Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 and fought Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia Calvillo handed Aspen the win in a single-handed manner and beat her in a match that tarnished Ladd's professional career. Ladd won her next bout in a fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 mark. Aspen began her career in the year 2015 when she signed to Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta Fc 11, she defeated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the the first round via TKO. Invicta Fc 16 marked her first fight in the Bantamweight division. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar during the second round. Aspen's dazzling wrestling ability was able to take down McGill, and she managed to finish her third round by TKO (elbows and strikes). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) at a "catchweight"(138.1lb) as Ladd did not make the weight. Aspen, however, dominated Hoy with a TKO. In her last fight for the promotion, she beat Sijara Eubanks by an unanimous decision in Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She dominated Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round in the 2nd. Her dominance continued and she won a much more convincing victory when she fought Tonya Evinger, at UFC 229 Ladd beat Evinger within the first minute and earned a reward for the performance of the evening. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent in an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first major match. The victory of Ladd was a unanimous decision and she was awarded the Fight of the Night award went to both fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in 16-seconds to break her losing streak. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in UFC 7 ESPN 7's third round, was defeated by Randamie. In her most recent fight with the UFC she took on Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 in a rematch fight. Her defeat was decided by majority vote.
